Melissa Amber
A quick intro about Melissa. She is my 14 year old teenage daughter. Oy. Teenagers…
Melissa is an freshman in high school, need I say more? Haha!
My pregnancy with Melissa was pretty uneventful at the beginning… especially since I didn’t even know I was pregnant until months into it! I often lacked cycles during sports seasons, especially swimming, so it wasn’t until a couple months after the long course swimming sesason ended that I suspected.
I did develop toxemia with Melissa at the end and was on bed rest for 2 weeks before they decided I needed to be induced. I was induced with pitocin and after about 8 hours the doctor decided I was failure to progress… my current OB looked over my charts and there is NO reason for that diagnosis. At that 8 hour mark I had dilated 8cm. Either way, I ended up with a c-section under general anesthesia. The section went ok, but my recovery was long and hard with lasting issues.
Melissa was born at 5:44pm on the 14th of January weighing in at 8lbs 1oz, 19.5″ long.
